Head Coach- 1st Season

Brian Erminger was recently named the second coach ever for Purdue North Central volleyball.

Erminger brings with him a wealth of volleyball coaching experience at the collegiate, club and high school levels.

As a college coach Erminger built the men's volleyball program at Calumet College of St. Joseph from scratch. The Crimson Wave finished 0-16 in his first season, 8-13 in his second season and 15-7 in his third season. His final two teams received AVCA National Top 10 Rankings.

Erminger, who served as girls varsity coach at Hammond High School (1995-1999) and Whiting High School (2006), has had an accomplished club coaching career with over 17 years experience of coaching elite boys and girls teams.

The Whiting native coached for Synergy Volleyball Club from 1995-2002 and took his 15U team to a 3rd place finish at the Junior Olympics, losing to eventual champion Puerto Rico in 1999. Most recently, Erminger led the 2010-11 Altitude 17 Black ROX team to the AAU Junior Nationals in Orlando, Florida and led them to many tournament victories despite playing in the 18U division. He also coached the 2010 Altitude 16 Black team to a First Place finish at the Asics Junior Nationals at Navy Pier in Chicago and a 9th Place finish at AAU Junior Nationals in Orlando.

"We're excited to have Brian on board at PNC to take our volleyball to the next level," said Athletic Director John Weber. "We expect great things from this program and believe Brian's leadership, experience, recruiting skills and enthusiasm will translate to success on and off the court."

Erminger, who attended Hammond Clark High School and continues to play on a regular basis, is known for his positive coaching style. He currently resides in Miller Beach.
