Men's Basketball - Wed, Dec. 1, 2010

La Porte, IN - The Purdue University North Central Panthers played host to Trinity International University Wednesday night at the La Porte Civic Auditorium.

The game started out with two quick offensive rebound scores by TIU's senior point guard Patrick Atkins. It was a tough battle the rest of the first half. Junior forward Seth Clinkenbeard put a punctuation point on the end of the first half with a put back shot at the buzzer. Seth's shot put the Panthers up 35-33 at halftime.

 

It was all Trojans after the break. Verbus, and Shelton had 28 of the team's 45 points in the second half for TIU.

 

For the Panthers Jordan Wisman led the team in scoring with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Matt Demler also scored in double figures for the Panthers with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

 

Coach Schnatz said after the game, "We can play with anyone for 30 minutes, but that will not get the job done. Putting 40 minutes together of tough basketball is our focus."


The next game for the Panthers is in Hammond, In against Purdue University Calumet. The game tips off at 1:00 pm CST this Saturday December 4th.
