The Purdue North Central Men's Golf Team opened their fall season with an 11th place finish at the Carthage College Fall Invitiational on August 31st.

The event, held at Randall Oaks Golf Course in Dundee, IL featured teams from Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin and was contested on a sunny, breezy day perfect for good scoring.

The Panthers recorded a team score of 326, more than 20 strokes better than the team's previous best showing from last year's inaugural campaign.

Leading the way for PNC was freshman Jacob Ramirez (Stevensville, MI) and senior Christian Baldwin (Valparaiso, IN) who both shot 80. Junior Joel Reinhertz (Valparaiso, IN) and freshman Austin Brooks (Granger, IN) contributed 83's, followed by junior Devin Myers' (North Judson, IN) 87 which was not counted in the team score.

Next up for the Panthers is the University of St. Francis (IL) Invitational on Tuesday, September 11 at Inwood GC in Joliet, IL.
