The Purdue North Central baseball team had four members receive honors to the recently released Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic All-Conference Baseball Teams.

Sophomore Colin Willis (Sheboygan, WI) was named First Team as an outfielder, junior Ched Gaskin (Brighton, MI) received First Team status as a catcher while senior Jeff Strbjak (Munster, IN) was named First Team All-Conference as a first baseman/designated hitter and senior Shane Prance (Portage, IN) with Second Team honors as a pitcher.

Willis hit .441 (93 for 211) with two homeruns, 37 RBI, 12 doubles, five triples, 20 walks, 28 stolen bases and 63 runs while slugging .573. Gaskin batted .412 (80 for 194) with eight homeruns, 73 RBI, 12 doubles, two triples, 32 walks, two stolen bases and 21 runs while slugging .619 and Strbjak hit .284 (48 for 169) with three homeruns, 38 RBI, 14 doubles, 19 walks, one stolen base and 19 runs while slugging .420

Gaskin's RBI's and Willis' runs, hits and stolen base totals were all school records.

Prance finished 7-5 with a 2.88 ERA in 84 innings of work. He appeared in 14 games overall and started 10 while completing eight. The right-hander struck out 95 batters while walking 20.

Prance's seven wins tied the mark for most wins in a season while his 84 innings, eight complete games and 95 strikeouts all set single season school records.

Prance was a key factor in the Panther's late season run, sweeping Trinity Christian College in their final three regular season games to qualify for the conference tournament. Prance captured 3 of his 7 wins and a save in the last 11 days of the season.

Overall, the Panthers finished 29-30, the third highest win total in program history.
