The Purdue North Central baseball team lost their fifth straight game in Florida, falling to nationally ranked #23 Madonna University 7-4 at Warner University Monday morning. 

Freshman Jessie Mills (0-1) was the starting pitcher for the Panthers and went 3.2 innings giving up three runs (one earned) on three hits and six walks while striking out three. Fellow freshman Cody Jansen pitched 4.1 innings in relief giving up four runs on four hits and four walks while also striking out three.

The Panther offence had seven hits on the day. Leading the way was Senior Nate Hall (2-4, SB), sophomore Colin Willis (1 hit, RBI, HBP), junior Ched Gaskin (RBI, HBP), junior Greg Toliver (1 hit, RBI), and junior Brad Dubois (1 hit, RBI).

Both teams were sloppy defensively as PNC committed three errors and Madonna had five. 

The Panthers are now 4-5 on the season and 0-5 on the Florida trip and will play Ave Maria tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Webber International University in Babson Park, FL.
