Purdue North Central won game one 10-1 and lost game two 13-12 on a two run walk off homer. 

PNC came out hot offensively in game one scoring ten runs. It was a home run derby by Lindsay Gernenz hitting her seventh of the year, Karissa Inglis hitting her first; junior Sandi Downs hitting her second and freshman Sam Jones hitting her seventh. The four home runs in the game set a new team record for homers in a game, the previous mark was 3. 

Junior Jaci Williams pitched five solid innings for the PNC holding Goshen to one run. Williams gave up seven hits and had four strike outs with the help of Sandi Downs behind the plate. Inglis finished the game relieving Williams in the sixth inning, giving up no runs.

Gernenz hit two for three with two RBI's and three runs while Inglis hit two for three with 2 RBI's and 2 runs. Jones hit two for four with two runs.

Junior Amber Welsh started game two for the Panthers but after struggling in the second inning Inglis returned to the mound and pitched another stellar performance. Jaci Williams closed out the game for PNC pitching the seventh.

Senior Megan Olson got off to a great start offensively going four for five with a double and a triple. Gernenz stayed hot and went three for four with another home run, her seventh of the year with three RBI's. Jones continued her strong hitting, smashing her eighth homer of the season. Freshman Hillary Hoffman rounded out the offense going two for four with a double.

An offensive battle throughout, the Panthers came up short when the Maple Leafs hit a two run walk off homer in the bottom of the seventh to take the win from PNC 13-12.

PNC move to 12-12 on the year. The Panthers will be back in action Tuesday march 27th when they host Trinity International University in CCAC conference match-up at 3:00 p.m.
