Chicago, IL - The Panthers were on the road this evening at Saint Xavier University. The men's basketball team was looking to get back on the right track after falling to conference opponent Cardinal Stritch University on Saturday. The Cougars came into the contest with a 13-5 record. 

The Panthers were held off by the Cougars to come away with a 91-70 win. 

"Saint Xavier is a very good team on the DI side of the CCAC. They did a very good job of forcing turnovers and getting out in transition. We will learn from this and start preparing for Saint Francis," Coach Schnatz said following the game.

Nick Neal had a strong performance for the Panthers. He scored 23 points on 6-11 shooting, and going 10-12 from the free-throw line. Neal also dished out 8 assists 

Jordan Wiseman also had a heavy contribution scoring 15 points, and grabbing 9 rebounds. Shane Heidt and Kyle Sanders each added 11 points for the Panthers.

The Panthers shot 24-59 from the field for 40.7%, 8-23 from the three-point line for 34.8%, and 14-18 for 77.8% from the free-throw line.  

The Panthers grabbed 31 rebounds compared to 35 by the Cougars. There were 13 assists to 20 turnovers for the Panthers. 

The Panthers return home Saturday January 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. to face the University of Saint Francis.
