The Purdue University North Central Panthers took game one 7-4 but came up short losing game two 1-0.

The Panthers started game one of the double header scoring five runs in the first inning with doubles by Senior Megan Olson and Karissa Inglis, Junior Sandi Downs and Freshman Sam Jones. Freshman Hillary Hoffman finished the offensive performance with a two run homer.

PNC added another run in the third inning off a Hoffman single driving in Inglis. Inglis added a cherry on top of the win with a seventh inning solo home run.

Jaci Williams looked sharp scattering four runs on five hits over seven innings giving up only one earned run.

Two Great pitching performances were turned in by Inglis and by Judson's Boyer. Inglis had seven strike outs and no walks while Boyer struck out 13 and walked two. Both pitchers combined gave up only five hits over the entire game with Judson getting the only run in the bottom of the sixth for the 1-0 win. 

PNC was led by Freshman Sam Jones and Senior Brittani Cain both getting two hits in three at bats with Denise Runge getting the only other hit.

The Panthers move to 15-13 on the year and 5-1 in the CCAC.

PNC will travel to Joliet, Illinois March 30th and 31st to participate in the Saint Francis Spring Tournament where they will face Saint Francis University (IL), Goshen College and Indiana Tech.
